Your team may choose one of two factions – the elite Super Heroes or Master Hackers. You will then be able to compete on one of three worlds and battle it out for massive prizes.

• Challenge: This world has lost its way.  Its people do not have traditional sources of identification and are excluded from financial services. They are deemed by their society to be the ‘unbanked clan’.  It is your mission to develop the digital identity of the future.

• How can you use data to identify the people of this lost world?

• How can you help them to be financially included?

• How would you ensure that data is held safely and securely?

• How do you improve the customer journey for those with accessibility needs?

• Prize:  $2,500 for winning team

World 2: Gamer’s Paradise

• Challenge: You have been transported to the future and the world of online rewards is in trouble. Consumers are alienated. Redeeming rewards is complex and time-consuming.  It is your mission to simplify and gamify online rewards.

• What does the future experience of online rewards look like?

• How could you bring value and relevance back to online rewards?

• How could you radically improve redemption?

• How could you simplify the sign-up process?

• Prize: $2,500 for winning team

• Runner Up: Oculus Rift Developer Kit per team member

World 3: The Battle for Blockchain

• Challenge: The war for contract simplicity has lasted many years with no one side gaining the upper hand.  Time is wasted on emails and phone calls to agree legal terms. There is no audit trail. It is your mission is to create a smart contract solution using the Blockchain.

• How could you create a smart contract that gives a clear audit trail?

• How could you create a streamlined process which gives both parties the option to review and amend terms in real time?

• How could you execute a smart contract that takes into account exceptions or unique terms in pricing?

• Prizes: $2,500 for winning team

• Runner Up: Star Wars: The Force Awakens BB-8 Interactive Robotic Droid by Sphero and Millennium Falcon Drone (when available) per team member
