Vantage Robotics enables people to easily create spectacular aerial video. The experienced team of Stanford, Yale, CMU, IDEO, NASA, HP, Panasonic, and Volkswagen alums have started a combined 8 companies previously and have been granted over 50 patents. Vantage's first product, Snap, is the only flying camera in the world to combine top video quality and flight performance with safety, portability, and ease of use. The platform architecture enables customers to easily extend performance with 1 hr flight time, silent operation, 60 mph flight speeds, and obstacle avoidance modules. The company has filed 12 patents to date on core enabling technologies for improving safety, portability, and easy of use in flying cameras. Already featured by Wired, Outside, Tech Crunch, Men’s Journal, The Verge, and Fast Company, amongst many others, the product has achieved strong traction with the press as well as nearly $1 M in initial pre-orders. Vantage is also working with a major news organization for a historically broad waiver from the FAA for commercial operations over people. After 6 months of beta testing, the have just begun shipping production units to their pre-order customers. Vantage has a distribution deals in place with with combined sales forecasts of 6000 units/month.
