GolfMatch is a growth of the game initiative aimed as connecting a very fragmented industry by solving fundamental problems for both golfers and courses. Our mission is to streamlining the organization of rounds, while driving incremental revenue to golf courses.
It all starts with connecting like-minded golfers at the courses they wish to play, seamlessly and effectively.
We then allow users to share their experiences (score, course rating, pictures, 140 character summary) with a relevant audience of local golfers and golfing buddies.
Lastly, we enable golfers to follow their golfing world to see what their buddies shoot, who they play with, and where they play at.
We have 3 PGA TOUR PLAYERS on as Brand Ambassadors who have committed to playing 1 round/year with our users (our goal is 10) and have partnered with Back9Network to broadcast these experiences in 20MM homes on DirectTV.
In our first year we have been featured in virtually every major golfing publications, have aligned ourselves with PGA of America, and raised 400K to date. We are currently building out our backend to hook into tee time aggregators, while also providing transparency behind those tee times. The digital tee time space currently account for 15% of the 450MM rounds played/year, and that number is growing 25% year-over-year the last 5 years.
